Why should I use sure chek, VISU-GLOW, or ALERT instead of soap to check for leaks?

Liquid dish soaps can be corrosive to various metals due to their high content of chlorides and halogens. Because sure chek, VISU-GLOW, and ALERT are non-corrosive and non-toxic, they will not damage the pipes being checked.
